High profile businessman Lord Digby Jones has urged the corporate community to support the new East Cheshire Hospice @Home service.
He visited Alderley Park Conference Centre to help highlight the service which starts this month and addressed Cheshire business leaders about post-Brexit Britain.
Lord Jones, a former Director General of the CBI, said it was vital the UK seized the initiative as it negotiates its exit from the European Union which he has vast experience of dealing with.
East Cheshire Hospice @Home hosted the gathering of 160 business people, with Lord Jones generously agreeing to be key note speaker.
His appearance provided a timely opportunity for the Hospice to raise awareness of the need for corporate backing to fund its core care costs.
