Business Awards – 27th Mar 2015

The East Cheshire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards were held at Cranage Hall on Friday 27th March. A delightful three course dinner was enjoyed by over 260 people before the awards were presented to the winners in the 10 categories that made up the awards evening.

The guests were all greeted by Verity Deaville and Wayne Linaker of Deaville & Co and the evening was hosted by David Watson, Chamber Chief Executive, Jackie Randles, Chamber Business Manager and Tim McCloud, Managing Director of TMC Strategic Communications.

Guests in attendance were The Worshipful the Mayor and Mayoress of Cheshire East, Councillor Wesley Fitzgerald and Mrs Joan Fitzgerald, Congleton constituency MP Mrs Fiona Bruce, Councillor Dave Brown, Councillor Don Stockton, Councillor Barry Moran and Councillor George Hayes.

The evening commenced with a video opening speech from George Osborne, Chancellor of the Exchequer.
The award winners were all presented with a trophy and a certificate showing the category that they had won. The Award Winners were as follows:
The Training Award went to Lynton Lasers of Holmes Chapel and Cheshire Mersey Wine School won the award for Most Promising New Business
The Exporters Award went Genesys International, this trophy was presented by Caron Flitcroft from UK Trade and Industry who were one of the awards sponsors
The Professional Services Award was presented to Green Contract Services and the Innovation Award was presented to a Congleton based company, Originem.
This year’s Charity Award went to Carers Trust 4 All who will now benefit from the fundraising that the Chamber does throughout the year. The Award was presented by Steve Johnson from Reliance Vehicle Management.

The Excellence in Customer category was awarded to TMC Strategic Communications and the Employer of the Year was won by ALPS. Employee of the Year went to Danielle Mason from Hammnd McNulty and the prestigious Business of the Year award was won by Pulse Fitness.

This 10th anniversary year saw the presentation of a very special award, ‘10 years of Excellence in Customer Service’ which was presented to Cranage Hall for their outstanding service over the last decade.
