Handelsbanken Wilmslow x East Cheshire Chamber Event: Economic Update April 2026
We are pleased to invite you to an Economic Update with Guest Speakers from Handelsbanken Economists on Wednesday 29th April 2026 at The_Space in Congleton.
The morning will begin at 8.30am with registration and a light breakfast, providing an opportunity to network with fellow attendees ahead of the session. From 9.15am, we will be joined by Handelsbanken’s Senior Economist Daniel Mahoney and FX & Interest Rates Specialist Thomas Barker who will share their insights on the current economic environment and what it could mean for businesses and investors.
The update will cover recent including growth trends, inflation & interest rates as well as exploring how these factors may shape the outlook for the months ahead.
There will be a Q&A session at 10.00am, giving you the chance to engage directly with the speakers and discuss topics most relevant to you. The event will finish at 11.00am if you would like to continue networking.

Annual Golf Day – 17th June 2026
The East Cheshire Chamber of Commerce would like to invite you to the Annual Golf Day, to be held at Vale Royal Abbey Golf Club, Whitegate, Northwich, Cheshire, CW8 2BA on 17th June 2026.
Arrive at 10.00am for registration and breakfast rolls and coffee served until 11.45am in the library. The putting competition will start at 11.00am through to 12 noon, providing the perfect preparation to hone your putting stroke and meet all your fellow competitors.
It will be a shotgun start again this year, starting promptly at 12.30pm. Once all teams have returned, an evening of great food and drinks. Dinner will be starting earlier this year at 17.30pm, followed by a prize giving and the charity raffle. The dress code for the evening is smart casual, no jeans or trainers to be worn.
An email will be sent out closer to the time with further details for booking. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
